Hopefully if you're reading this you've read the the Apples in Stereo interview. I still can't believe I was able to interview one of the band members. Well my "bass-karma" once again brought me to another bass player. Why daddy!! Why can't I ever interview the drummer or guitarist?! Why am I blaming my dad? He's a bass player so I always tend to interview the bassists because... I guess it's a comforting, either that fate. haha!
Anyways I was planning my questions for a week before the interview but then..IT happened. Writers block!!! OMG that freakin' sucks when you get it. I was like asking all my friends, "If you could interview the apples, what would you ask?" Most of them were like, "Uhhh I'd scream because I love them so much." Thanks guys very helpful. Luckily I was able to come up with a bunch of questions in time.
As for the phone interview...that's a story to tell. I hadn't interviewed by phone in months so I forgot how I did it. I don't think Eric knew this, but during the entire interview my right hand was shaking. I was nervous and thrilled to be talking to an "apple." But I just thought of something interesting. When you're interviewing a band with the name of a food in the band name, you have to be careful what you say. They could take things the wrong way. For example if I asked this during the interview I think he would have hung up: I think apples are delicious, don't you? Think about it.
Here a few more (the following are for the sick mind...like mine!):
- I totally wanna take a bite out of that. (ok it's an expression but ew?)
- I could just eat you up! (my aunt says to me as she pinches my cheek haha!)
- You're yummy. (how creepy is that, especially when a guy said it to me)
- (and if you know the apples lyrics well) Let's go see the sunlight baby! Or... I'm made of energy too. (they sound like bad pick up lines.)
